In January I usually have a lot of thoughts about my new healthy life. Now I will start going to the gym, again. But my pear shaped body will stay the same, although it might get a bit stronger.

Today I went to a seminar produced by Swedish magazine agency A4. Russian typographer Vera Evstafieva and lebanese typographer Pascal Zoghbi showed their work and spoke about the difficulties in transforming a Latin type font to a Cyrillic and/or Arabic versions. Earlier a cut and paste process was used, but as the shapes of the characters are so different, that has not been a successful way of doing it. Now a new generation of typographers in Russia and Lebanon are creating modern type fonts that are in line with their typographic tradition.

black leaflet with typographic pattern about Swedish languageThis is a leaflet that folds on both sides and opens in the middle. It was a bit of a juggle to make the typographic pattern around the opening without creating a big gap.
